Privacy policy
In short: there are no accounts, your saved flights and settings stay in your browser, and traffic is counted by Yandex.Metrica. Nothing is kept on our server except a price alert subscription — and only if you turned one on.
Version of 2 September 2026
What we do not collect
There is no registration and no personal account on this site. We do not ask for your name, phone number, email, passport or payment details — and we could not obtain them: the purchase does not happen here. The only thing that reaches our server is a price alert subscription, if you turned one on; what it contains is described below.
There are no advertising networks on the site, and no trackers that build a profile of a visitor. We set no cookies of our own — the Yandex.Metrica counter does: four files on the site's domain, _ym_uid, _ym_d, _ym_isad and _ym_visorc. The first two tell one visitor from another and remember the time of the visit, the third lets the counter detect blockers, the fourth records the session. What exactly is collected is described in the next section.
On what basis we do this
The traffic counter and the price alerts run on your consent. The counter starts counting from your first visit — the notice about data and cookies tells you so, and by staying on the site you agree to it. Alerts are switched on only by pressing the button and switched off by pressing it again.
The web server's technical records are kept in our legitimate interest: without them the site cannot be kept running and a fault cannot be investigated. They are used for nothing else and passed to no one.
Traffic analytics
We use Yandex.Metrica to see how many people come to the site and which sections they use. The counter runs on every page and starts counting from your first visit — the notice about data and cookies warns you about it rather than switching it on.
Metrica receives anonymised information about the visit — the page address, the referrer, device and browser type, an approximate location from the IP address, and actions on the page. It uses its own cookies and records the session (Webvisor). The operator of that data is Yandex LLC; the terms are described in Yandex's privacy policy.
You can opt out with your browser: a tracker blocker, Yandex's own Metrica opt-out extension, or by blocking third-party cookies. The data is anonymised and is not linked to your identity in any case: we have no accounts.
What is stored in your browser
Some settings are saved locally, in your browser's storage (localStorage), and are sent nowhere:
- the list of saved flights;
- the selected interface language;
- search options — which also go into the address bar so that a link can be shared.
To delete this data, clear your saved flights with the "Clear" button, or clear the site data through your browser.
Price drop notifications
If you turned notifications on with the button in the saved list, only what is needed to deliver them is sent to our server and stored:
- the delivery address issued by your browser’s notification service — it cannot identify you; it exists only so the notification arrives;
- the list of watched flights — route and departure date, without prices and without browsing history;
- the selected currency and the time of your last visit.
We neither ask for nor store a name, an email address or a device identifier: the service has no accounts. A notification is sent only when the price of a flight you saved has dropped noticeably.
You can turn it off with the same button — the subscription is deleted both here and in your browser.
A subscription is kept for as long as you use it. If you have not visited the site for 60 days it is deleted on its own — together with the delivery address and the list of flights, with no action from you.
Technical data
Like any site, the service runs through a web server, which may record technical details of requests (page address, time, browser version). That data exists only to investigate faults and is not linked to your identity.
Going to sellers
When you use the "Go to booking" button on a card, or click a flight row in the table, you land on a partner's site, and an affiliate programme identifier is passed along with the link — it is how the service's fee is credited. That identifier contains no information about you.
The partner's own privacy policy applies on their site, including their use of cookies. Ours does not extend to it.
Transfer outside Russia
A price alert is delivered not by our server but by your browser's notification service: Google for Chrome, Mozilla for Firefox, Apple for Safari. For the alert to arrive we pass that service the delivery address it issued itself. Those servers sit outside Russia — so this is a cross-border transfer, and we say so plainly.
Only the delivery address and the text of the alert leave — route, date and price. We send no name, no email address and no device identifier, because we hold none. Nothing else leaves Russia: the service's server and Yandex.Metrica are both here.
Your rights
We have no accounts, so most of the data sits with you, and the fastest way to deal with it is to do so yourself: saved flights, language and search options are removed by clearing the site data in your browser, a price alert subscription by the same button that switched it on, and the traffic counter is opted out of through your browser as described above.
If you need to contact us, write to automaticworkers@gmail.com. You have the right to:
- find out whether we process your data and exactly what;
- withdraw consent — for the traffic counter or for price alerts;
- demand that processing stop and the data be deleted;
- demand that inaccurate data be corrected.
We answer within 30 days. One quirk to know about: we cannot find your subscription by name or email address — we hold neither. It takes the delivery address your browser issued; we will explain where to find it in our reply.
Contact
Questions about data processing: automaticworkers@gmail.com (the operator of x-tract.me). The site is run by a private individual, not a company. If the set of processed data changes — for example if alerts start requiring an email address — this page will be updated before such a feature goes live.
